First Day of Classes! -Paul

Today was the first day of structured classes and everything went extremely well. I was very impressed with the organization and structure of the lectures and lessons and was equally pleased with their in-depth content. I never thought I would ever be able to learn so many new things in one day and today was only the introduction/safety procedures. I look forward to tomorrow where we will continue designing our clocks on the CAD program and learn about the physics of the pendulum which we will design with our own creativity. I was surprised with the amount of equipment and tools that we were introduced to and given access to, for use in future classes.

Now I am off to dinner and later cluster activities!

Thank you to all of you who have contributed to the blog on the very first day. I enjoyed reading all of your entries - and am as impressed by your writing as I was today by the ease with which you picked up AutoCad! I am looking forward to getting to know you all better as we work together this week. Remember - if you are uncertain about anything to ask lots of questions or if the instructors seem to go to fast don't hesitate to ask us to slow down. There is much to do and learn, and we don't plan on leaving anyone behind...
