Right now, I am in the computer lab. We're working on our clock designs on AutoCAD, and most of us are almost finished. I really like working on AutoCAD and Working Model at the computer lab; we get to try out a lot of cool stuff on those apps. Working on our clocks in the MAE design studio is super fun. That is probably one of my favorite parts about our cluster. We started on the base of our clocks, and hopefully later today we will be able to finish and start assembling them. Yesterday we had a lecture about parallelism, and then we did a lab about pendulums, which was interesting. The data that we obtained helped us discover the properties of pendulums.
Today, we had a two lectures: one about avoiding analysis errors and another about the dynamics of simple machines. I really liked the moving visual aids and the clear explanations.
REC activities:
last night we had a paper airplane contest. Folding the "Sabertooth" was quite a challenge, but in the end it worked out. My suitemates and I started folding random stuff, and then we went back to our suite to play cards. 'Twas quite fun.
Food Recap:
last night dinner: beef fajitas- good. AND THERE WERE CHURROS! those were delicious. I had exactly 1.5 of them.
today breakfast: pancakes were good, but one of my clustamates thought that the grapes were too sour.
today lunch: three cheese panini: pretty good. the cupcakes were good, too. we ate outside, and the weather is getting better.
So I give it a 4/5 stars, for now.
Later gator,
Joyce
