Today was another great day of working on our clocks in the design studio and the computer lab. After two great lectures on physics and engineering analysis, we finished up our work on the CAD program and started using a fun program called Working Model which simulates real live physics such as gravity, friction, and wind resistance. This program will help us be able to find an approximate time in which our clock will run. However, as we learned in our lecture, the data doesn't always match because of the countless factors which affect the actual outcome. I am now typing as I wait for the LaserCAMM machine to be ready for my CAD file to upload after the laser is adjusted. I am looking forward to the trip to the beach tonight as I hear we will be having a nice fire as well.
