After thinking for a while, I realized that today is only day 2 of camp. For some reason, I thought that I've already been here for at least one week. I've already met a plethora of people, both in my suite and in my cluster.
Like most of the other meals so far, breakfast has consisted of decent food. I ate waffles and bagels. Our entire cluster slowly walked over to the lecture hall to listen to Jeanne Ferrante. I enjoyed her presentation using the people as a method to explain the different sort methods. Even though I've already seen the sorts on the computer, it was interesting to participate in the process on stage as a "volunteer." After the lecture, we went to discuss the presentation such as whether or not the speaker should have gone more in depth and other ideas.
As a cluster, we learned pendulum physics, which I had not previously learned. The hands-on experience allowed me to physically see what had happened as we change the variables on the pendulum. By the time we finished collecting data, we went to eat lunch.
It's almost time to go to sleep so I'll wrap it up and list all of the remaining activities of my afternoon.
1. AutoCAD programming
2. Drill holes into my supporting base piece
3. Free time
4. Dinner
5. Suite discussion
6. Study time (make my penguin portion of the pendulum)
7. Activities (Apples to Apples, Frisbee, and connect four)
And that was my day!
