I have really enjoyed this week at COSMOS. We have completed all the work on the pendulum clocks and are now working with our newly formed groups on the mini-sculptures. Assembling the sculpture pieces are a lot of fun since you can make a wide ranged and complex system of tracks and it looks really cool as the ball moves through the track. Programming the micro-processors was very interesting and it's neat how you can control the start time, pause time, angle of movement, and the text screen of the micro-processor. The Cluster 2 staff and faculty are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and resourceful.
I learned salsa dancing on Wednesday and the dance on Friday was really fun and intense. Yesterday I saw Batman Begins and today I saw The Dark Knight. The new Batman movies are among the best of the superhero movies. I'm really glad my parents brought my loud boom-box. Looking forward to the next week.
Cheers!

Another week at COSMOS, alot of new experiences. Adrian White here, posting once again under another post because of the email mix-up. Although that's not what I'm here to talk about; I'm back with a two volume story again about my week in cluster 2 engineering.
Volume I:
The first half of the week was pretty mellow, with the clock project coming to an end BUT there was a new challenge approaching. The kinetic sculpter project was dead ahead in our path and I was definitely ready to follow that path. After being verbally prepared for the project we swiftly chose groups and made our design topics which will be explained in more detail in Volume II. As far as reflection goes, the beginning of the week was ordinary, nothing leaning towards any extremety.
One more volume to wrap up my exciting end of week 2.
Volume 2:
After getting well into the kinetic sculpter project I'm actually starting to feel like I'm back at school. That isn't necessarily a bad thing because education is always key in youth. I've learned alot this end of the week, not only academically through our extensive lectures but also socially through the dance. I'm really liking my group though, they are all really good friends and I connect with tme the most out of most of COSMOS. Speaking of connecting, I really saw a different side of people at the dance, a side that I could relate to more rather than just always being serious. I hope to have another week like this.
